@Dorell I haven’t done so myself, but others have — they usually wind up encased in acrylic because the wire ends they have are very brittle
but amusingly many resistors from this era (1980s) were basically ceramic beads with a piece of wire stuck into either end, with carbon mixed into the ceramic to get the right resistance, since ceramic has good thermal properties :)
