" #NormanRockwell Was ‘#Antifa,’ Says the Artist’s Granddaughter"

"Norman Rockwell‘s art, with its quaint visions of small-town America, is today widely considered to be a force of conservatism, a call for things to remain the same even as everything changes. But according to the artist’s granddaughter, everyone has his art all wrong.

“Norman Rockwell was antifa,” Daisy Rockwell told the Bulwark this week, for an article called “The MAGAfication of Norman Rockwell.”"

Norman Rockwell Was 'Antifa,' Says the Artist's Granddaughter

Norman Rockwell was 'antifa,' according to the artist's granddaughter, who addressed the Department of Homeland Security's use of his art.

@hhardy01 Interesting. We were just at the Norman Rockwell Museum yesterday (we wanted to see the Jazz Age Art exhibit -- which was wonderful). I am not sure I would categorize him exactly that way, but he was certainly using popular cultural art to push social and political boundaries and perspectives, with the front page of the Saturday Evening Post as his canvas. I do think he would NOT have wanted to be use to justify MAGA, though.
