Nonviolence, universal love, compassion.

For what you call the Law is but a club of the rich over the lowest of men, sanctifying the conquest of the earth by a few and making their theft the way of things. But over and above these pitiful statutes of yours that enclose the common land and reduce us to poverty to make you fat stands the Law

Welcome to the resistance.

"“We cannot kill an entire civilization,” Ms. Greene wrote on social media. “This is evil and madness.”

Tucker Carlson... On his most recent podcast, Mr. Carlson called on U.S. officials to disobey the president’s orders if he calls to attack civilians.

“Now it’s time to say no, absolutely not, and say it directly to the president, no,” Mr. Carlson said..."

US courts recently affirmed that only humans can hold copyright; generated works cannot be owned or licensed by anyone, even if a human directs or makes changes to the work. I assume the current version of Claude source code is heavily generated by previous versions of Claude. Indeed, it would be preposterous to assume otherwise. If correct, then Claude source code became public domain as soon as it was leaked, and it cannot be copyrighted.

"what's objectionable about Anthropic – and the AI sector – isn't copyright. The thing that makes these companies disgusting is their gleeful, fraudulent trumpeting about how their products will destroy the livelihoods of every kind of worker [...] And it's their economic fraud, the inflation of a bubble that will destroy the economy when it bursts [...] It's their enthusiastic deployment of AI tools for mass surveillance and mass killing" - @pluralistic

“Anthropic has taken an extremely aggressive posture on copyright's "limitations and exceptions," arguing that it can train its models on any information it can find, and knowingly download massive troves of works for that purpose. It's darkly hilarious to see the company firehosing copyright complaints by the thousands to prevent the dissemination, dissection and discussion of the source-code that leaked due to the company's gross incompetence” @pluralistic

"#Springsteen had come out swinging, telling the crowd, “Tonight we ask all of you to join with us in choosing hope over fear, #democracy over #authoritarianism, the rule of law over #lawlessness, ethics over unbridled #corruption, #resistance over complacency, #unity over division and #peace over war.”

The last, shouted word was the first of the opening song, the 1970 protest anthem “#War” by Edwin Starr."
