I certainly hope the EU can put the same sanctions on the US for attacking Venezuela as they did on Russia for attacking Ukraine. This is indefensible.

@eriksandblom @Gargron My country is currently ruled by incompetent, greedy idiots and a populist oligarch. Almost all of them are facing criminal charges and, of course, enjoy immunity. My stupid fellow citizens elected them. Legally. Does that mean the US can kidnap them, bomb our cities, and install its own oligarchs in their place?

@plsik @eriksandblom @Gargron Both things can be true, i.e., (1) the Maduro regime is illegitimate, only in power due to election manipulation and criminalizing opposition to itself, (2) the invasion by the US and the kidnapping of Maduro are premised on (a) lies about drug trafficking, and (b) desire for oil wealth
