My year in books:
1) Favorite fiction: “Vineland” Thomas Pynchon. Yeah, I read it because of One Battle After Another but it is great in a very different way from the movie.

2) Favorite nonfiction: “Everything is Tuberculosis” Jon Green. Made me cry for a bunch of reasons, not least the state of science and aid funding in this country.

3) Favorite series: “The Murderbot Diaries”, Martha Wells. I loved the AppleTV series but thought it was way too short. Good news was there were seven books to read!
