This year I got a #39C3 ticket just before it started. So I went there nearly unprepared. I decided to treat it as vacation instead of a learning or networking event and that turned it into one of the best Congress experiences in a while. No fomo, no stressing out about talks, workshops shifts etc, just wandering around and getting into all kinds of interring conversations and stuff to join.
