The Robertson head screw and driver are the superior technology.

#FightMe

@mike red handled drivers of course.
@mike My daughter and I just drove by the former Robertson manufacturing site in Milton, Ontario the other day. I pointed out to her the plaque near the road that honours the truly great invention.

@CAWguy @mike

interestingly I've never encountered one here in UK - in spite of dealing with every other kind of fastener head - slotted, Philips/Posidriv, Torx and XZN/triple square..

@vfrmedia @CAWguy @mike they’re an extremely Canadian thing, which is probably why

although my family (very much in the US) had a mobile home that had them in the ceiling-mounted light fixtures for some reason

@mike @vfrmedia Fight about what? That doesn't seem very Canadian. 🤔

(Yes, this is a reference to Peter Robertson.)

@[email protected] You're just a square. Torx is the star.

Never seen one in person (I'm in the U.S.), but I've heard about them going back many years.

Having to have a bit that fits the head perfectly would be a bit of a bummer, but I concede that it'd be far superior in terms of fit and not stripping or slipping.
