I won't do this for everything, but I've been trying to experiment and optimize the fastest way to create tool cutouts for gridfinity bins. Taking a top down photo on my 1x1" cutting mat and aligning it to the 1x1" grid in Plasticity has been working pretty well. Just have to make the cutout a bit larger than the tool (leaving some margin of error) because of the slight distortions from the photo. I do set my iPhone camera to 2x zoom and try to shoot as square as possible.
