Anon OpinHaving a 1 hour+ commute is never worth it. I don't care how much extra money you earn or how many podcasts you listen to on the way. Spending such a significant portion of your life simply going to and from work is a waste of life.

It enabled us to move to a bigger home in the county we wanted to live in and I didn't have to leave the career/field in which I wanted to work. And tbh, it set me up for my current role, too. Plus I made up for it with my 30sec commutes for thrle 4 odd years following COVID.
