That bite with the pineapple! 😍🍍
I finally tried it once a few years ago, and it was good, but if I’m buying, it’s gotta be pepperoni, shrooms and green pepper.
The pineapple and jalapeño combo is where it’s at
I can one up this: 🍌🍕
Nahh, pineapple’s better. Got hooked at California Pizza.
Do not put your banana in a pizza, you will burn it.

Truskawki z makaronem.

  • 150g pasta. Preferably something that sticks to the sauce better, like fusilli or farfalle. Spaghetti is a bad idea.
  • 500g strawberries
  • 4Tbsp of sugar
  • a drop of vanilla extract
  • 200g sour cream. Yoghurt if you want something healthier.
  • Boil the pasta as usual, except you’re only adding 1/2 of the salt you’d otherwise use to the water. (You want some salt for the contrast, but not enough to turn this into a savoury dish.)
  • Clean and chop the strawberries into eights. Then reserve, like, 1/3 of them aside. Mash the rest with the sugar and vanilla extract, add the sour cream, mix everything well.
  • Add pasta to plate. Then strawberry mix over pasta. Then the reserved strawberries over everything.
  • [Optional] Chill it before serving.
  • This should be enough for 2 people. It tastes surprisingly nice.

And upon sharing this recipe, I can hear my ancestors
some rolling in their graves and saying “che schifo”, some giving me a thumbs up, and some asking if I could add yucca meal to the dish (no).

When I was a kid, my mom would just straight up blend the strawberries either without anything (for dietary reasons) or with twarĂłg (cottage cheese)

    twarĂłg

That’s actually a great idea — gotta try it next time. (I’m almost sure the locally sold keschmier is the same as twaróg, but worst hypothesis homemade requeijão does the trick.)

The fact that the sauce isn’t mixed with the pasta before serving is probably the most egregious transgression of that whole thing.
Ah, I stole the pic from some random site. They do it this way because it’s more presentable. But it’s better to spread the “sauce” across the pasta, mix it a bit, and then add the strawberry pieces. (Or add the strawberry pieces and then mix it, your choice.)

Truskawki z makaronem (Polish strawberry pasta) - Mander

I shared this recipe in another comm, then someone linked me this one, so I’m sharing the recipe here. [https://i.imgur.com/cD5wDjS.jpeg] Picture stolen from some random site, but the recipe I’m sharing is the one I prepare. And I know the idea of sweet pasta might not be for everyone, but don’t rule it out without trying, it’s actually tasty. Ingredients: * 150g pasta. Short pasta with lots of texture works better; fusilli, farfalle, penne, they all work great, avoid something like spaghetti or linguine. * water and salt, to cook the pasta. Yes, salt. * 500g strawberries, washed, chopped into eights. * around 4 tablespoons of sugar; more or less to taste. * [optional] a drop of vanilla extract * 200g sour cream. See the bottom for alternatives. * [optional] peppermint leaves and/or crushed ricotta, for garnish Preparation: 1. Boil the pasta in the same way you’d do it for savoury dishes, but use only half the amount of salt you like. It should be around a teaspoon of salt per litre of water. 2. Reserve 1/3 of the chopped strawberries aside. Add sugar and vanilla extract to the rest, then mash them together with a fork. Add the sour cream and mix it well. 3. Add pasta to the plate, then the strawberry/cream mix over it, mix it a bit, then pour the 1/3 of the chopped strawberries you reserved over the pasta. Then any garnish you might be using. 4. [Optional] Chill before serving. Notes: I often prepare this recipe with yoghurt instead of sour cream, for health reasons. I never tried using coconut cream but it feels like it might be a good option, for those who’d rather avoid dairy. If your concern is the fat instead, @[email protected] [/u/[email protected]] [https://discuss.tchncs.de/u/kuberoot] also mentions it being prepare with twarĂłg = cottage cheese. And, worst hypothesis, it’s fine to omit the sour cream, IMO it tastes incomplete but still nice. You can serve this recipe either warm or chilled. Personally I think it tastes way better chilled. Raspberries or mulberries also work really well for this recipe. It might be tempting to sub the salt from the pasta water with sugar, but I don’t recommend it, the contrast between the sweet/sour “sauce” and the salty pasta is really nice.

I like your style my friend.
Pineapple + jalapeño + (optionally) sausage or pepperoni is always a winner.
I have no qualms about pineapple on pizza. But the moment the pineapple hits that pizza dough, it turns into a flatbread.

I don’t have a problem with pineapple on pizza. It’s a nice flavor.
Wait until you see french fries on a pizza!
Pineapple on pizza is eddible, but technically so is broccoli and I won’t touch that awful, bitter shit if I can possibly help it.
Broccoli on pizza is a thing though and it’s actually quite good when done right
Broccoli on pizza is a very common thing in Italy. And it is delicious.
I’m one of the people who can only taste how bitter wild cabbage cultivars (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels sprouts, cabbage). It’s generic, like people who think cilantro tastes like soap, except the bitter tasting gene is the original and the non-bitter tasting mutation is the newer aberration. If you have 2 copies of the bitter tasting gene, stuff like broccoli tastes like fucking poison. So ya’know, fuck that, I’d rather have the pineapple.
I eat pineapple pizza with a knife and fork.
pineapple, pepperoni, black olives, and stuffed crust is my usual order.
Pineapple, ham and onion is a good combo!
i dont like ham on pizza but I can see that combo being good

It’s my belief that the moment human beings are finally able to accept that others will like things differently than they do- will be the moment EVERYTHING clicks into place and a lot of our problems will just disappear.

It can start with irrelevant things like- food choice, and end with monumentally life affirming things like- who we can love and want to spend our lives with.
