The Guardian's (.com website) cookie consent is scummy.
The two options it provides are "Accept all" and "Reject all and subscribe".

Sorry if the alt text has mistakes. I am typing on a phone keyboard.

If you click the reject all, they offer the following explanation:

This is annoying.
Why are you doing it?

The Guardian is lucky to have a unique ownership structure and a revenue model powered by the direct support of many of our readers. However, advertising remains a crucial part of how we fund our journalism.

Readers choosing to reject personalised advertising make it more difficult for us to generate revenue from online advertising. Put simply, that means that the more people who press “reject”, the less money to pay for quality reporting.

As a result, we are now asking readers to pay to reject personalised advertising.

This isn't just annoying. It might - I'm not a lawyer - violate privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA.
Either way, it is sad to see a reputable news site do this.
The interesting thing is I only get this when going through Tor. When I access it via my clearnet US IP, I get a normal consent popup.
Mobile Tor doesn't let me see where my traffic is routed through sadly.
