@nixCraft
Fuck those guys anyway.
@nixCraft If these c-suite business idiots weren't CERTAIN that they're so much smarter than everyone else, this whole clusterfuck could have been easily avoided. But they're the masters of the goddamn universe who are all to happy to believe any old bullshit they're told will make line go up, so here we are
@nixCraft Salesforce marketing their pivot from LLM AI shit to using standard automation as ""deterministic triggers" will likely continue the fleecing of customers with no repercussions. This will probably be the 2026 trend for any "serious" business associated with AI. I'm livid at the thought.
@nixCraft
Ah, hangovers are terrible.
@nixCraft and then they rehire with worse contracts/salary
@nixCraft
Oh no how is this possible(/s)
@nixCraft Well, they decided to learn it the hard way.

@nixCraft
@tchambers

So, to sum up...

Salesforce shits the bed yet again.

What a useless idiotic attempt at a company they've continued to be...

@nixCraft

What could possibly go wrong...

@nixCraft Next they'll discover that water is wet and the Pope isn't.

@nixCraft

No one has seen a profitable return on the LLM investments -- the bubble is about to pop and the damage is going to be devastating across the board

@kbsez i heard copilot of all things does turn a profit consistently

@nixCraft

I work for a F500 company and we just migrated off SalesForce(not because of AI issues)

It's clear LLMs can help customer support especially if they're English as Second language, but certainly not replace

@nixCraft

The least stupid of the ceos is finally getting a clue.

@nixCraft

El
Oh
El

I want to see this bubble detonate, but I also don't want to spend my remaining years living through a history-making depression.
@nixCraft
After leaving my last staff job in 2019 one of the great joys was never having to log in to Salesforce ever again, in my life, ever…
@nixCraft especially funny because their research division with Richard Socher made such big advances with neutral networks for NLP in the 2010's

@nixCraft

What could possibly go wrong...

@nixCraft "Companies need to connect AI to accurate data, business logic, and governance to turn the raw intelligence that LLMs provide into trusted, predictable outcomes. " Regardless of the quality and provenance of data, AI will hallucinate. That's how they work. They hallucinate EVERYTHING but some of the time, it sounds kosher. When it spouts garbage, we say it hallucinates. Fundamental falsehoods underpin AI technology, mainly that it can ever be accurate 100% of the time.
@nixCraft fuck these shitbags companies. if you work for these dickheads, have some self-respect and quit, or better yet, set the office on fire so everypony can work from home again!
