Does anyone know if these are all different versions of the same game, or is it one base game and some DLCs?

@antoniav Remake Integrade was my first ever FF Game. I never played them so i finally wanted to give it a try and lots of ppl recommended it. Its pretty good but boy was I confused at the end 🫣 still a fun playthrough

@Turr1caN

I have wanted to try a FF game for a while, but there are so many, I never knew where to start. The FF world is a bit overwhelming, so never got around to it. But a few weeks ago, a friend of mine passed away, and he loved FFVII so much that all the music at his funeral was from that game. So I thought, okay, I'll try that one. But just doing a search for FFVII was not quite as simple as I had hoped..

@antoniav damn. I'm so sorry to hear that. Sorry for your loss. That u wanna give it a try because of that is a beautiful reason. The OST was indeed great.

Yeah, the story of FF7 left me confused behind. I probably missed some background infos from other FF games, not sure. Hope u enjoy it. Would love to hear how u liked it.

@Turr1caN

Thank you.

Oh, do I need to know the story from the first 6 games?

Did you play any of the other FFs after it?

@antoniav The FF games have independent storylines afaik. But some of the characters that appear and how they relate to each other is further explained in Crisis Core which is a prequel to 7. I only played that one FF game so far. I'm as confused as u are when it comes to keeping all those different games straight 🫣😄 maybe it was just me who was confused so dont let that stop u from giving it a try

@Turr1caN

Installing it now, so will at least give this one a try. Still have 4 other unplayed games in my library though, so might be a while before I get around to it. Quite big this one, GB wise.

@antoniav sounds like a plan. Did u grab any deals on steam sale recently? 😄
I myself just finished Hogwarts and started "Nobody Wants to Die" now. I'm in the mood for some crime movie-like gameplay so i can relax on the couch while playing.

@Turr1caN

Oh, had to look that one up, Nobody Wants To Die looks like a game I would enjoy.

Didn't get a lot of games on the winter sale, since I already have some unplayed ones, and like 30 games I want to play again. Got Voyagers of Nera, Two Point Museum, and now Final Fantasy VII. And some DLCs. And installed a free demo of Forspoken.

Did you enjoy Hogwarts?

Hogwarts was fun. The environment in the castle was so detailed that it was such a blast to explore everything. The story itself was OK. The thing that I didnt liked was the dialogue and the fighting system. U can tell that the game wants to include a younger audience as well. Which makes absolutely sense since its the Harry Potter universe but i wished it had been a bit more "grown up". Overall I would give it like a 6.5/10. took me around 50hrs to finish. There is lots of side stuff u can do.

Two Point Museum is on my list, too. I loved Theme Hospital back in the days. Two Point Hospital gave me the nostalgia when I played it 😄 in addition to Nobody Wants to Die my best friend and me bought one copy of Split Fiction. All the coop games from those devs are the best ive played so far and are so much fun. Really looking forward to that one.

Like u, I got some games in my backlog that I want to finish before buying new ones. I think when I'm done with Nobody Wants to Die I will start Disco Elysium which was free on Epic Games recently.

@Turr1caN

Yeah, I see so many of my friends on steam have 100+ unplayed games, so made a rule for myself that I never buy new games if I have 5 or more unplayed games. Recently went through my library and made a shelf for all the games I want to play again too, so think it might be a while before I buy new games 😅

@Turr1caN

My nieces play Split Fiction, I have never tried it myself, but I do love coop games. Which other coop games have they made?

@antoniav

- A Way Out

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1222700/A_Way_Out

- It Takes Two

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1426210/It_Takes_Two

I can recommend both. A Way Out was their first and u can tell. Its not perfect but we still had a great time. It Takes Two is a big improvement with lots of nice coop mechanics and apparently they improved even more with Split Fiction which is why I'm looking forward to it.

I mean i love games in general, but good coop games have a special place in my heart. There aren't that many out there and a game dev that is focused on only coop story games, is so unique that I have to try them out, despite all the games that are laying on my pile 😄

Save 90% on A Way Out on Steam

A Way Out is an exclusively co-op adventure where you play the role of one of two prisoners making their daring escape from prison.

@Turr1caN thanks. I'll look them up

@Turr1caN

In what way were you confused at the end? Story wise?
