Okay. I made something. It took three years and I could keep going but need to call it finished at some point. It’s a block pushing puzzle game with few gameplay elements that still contains a bunch of big and small reveals, which to me is very satisfying.

It was mostly a joy to work on, exploring how this little universe works much like a player would. I made it in Puzzlescript, a tool I am very comfortable with but might need to “move on” from for future projects.

btw, thinking about visual programming work: at some point along the process of making this game, I was fully intending to port it to my own engine based entirely on rules with 2D pictures. turns out making an editor application that goes beyond a prototype-y feel is really hard, but I should post about it some time! In the end, forks of puzzlescript provided enough for what I wanted to do this time around.
