Christmas came early at Pisa today, and I got myself a new marathon personal best! 🏅😁 I had to dig deep, particularly after the 30km mark where I ran into headwinds. Somehow my legs even managed to climb up the tower after race, though right now doing anything is a struggle. #PisaMarathon #marathon #running

@fehrtrade thank you! Marathons are never easy, and I seem to only get PBs these days at the smaller races, which are less hectic, they also have less people cheering.

@okwithmydecay I actually prefer fewer crowds - the London marathon crowds are WAY too intense for me and I feel like having periods of quieter course in other races means I appreciate the loud spots more.

@okwithmydecay thanks. Interesting, that one’s not even been on my radar! I’m still at least a year or two from being able to run those distance again (sigh, rebuilding from scratch after major illness. Again.). Plenty of time for research!
