I can read this in 2 ways. One I agree with, and the other I'm putting to the challenge.

Under Mindfulness core principle of Social experience design there exists no "winning", only Progress matters. Although #SX only considers #FOSS as the software, an SX artifact. Software doesn't win either, it fulfills needs (or it should).

Other interpretation, that FOSS projects cannot be self-sustainable in most cases. Well, here #SOSS comes around. Coding is social.
