Here in the US, I’m wondering if centering government shifts focus away from industry-technology polluters. Why is it difficult fix a cell phone? Why does so much packaging come in plastic? Where is farm-to-community? Why #EV rather than the 15-minute community and/or micro transit?

Yes, government should regulate. But why have corporate [climate] thievery now at the expense of the future? Who benefits? Why do we saddle the public (via govt) with the responsibility to manage the mess?

Why not use govt to regulate the economy so that the mess is not made in the first place?

@slanecartoon 100%. Capitalism profit is just deferred cost, either through labor, material, abstraction, or time. Zero sum means future summers on fire.
