loot back! meow meow

@Drippy_Spudd excellent.

paging @robinhood - found you.

@Drippy_Spudd wait, is that (or something similar) how the three arrows logo came to be?
@Primo @Drippy_Spudd
To my understanding, the three arrows was a symbol used by the German Iron Front. I think they were social democrats or something. IIRC The three arrows stood for opposition to capitalism, fascism (or maybe monarchism?) and, depending on who you ask, either socialism, communism or state capitalism.
@Primo @Drippy_Spudd It's been adopted by anarchists, because anarchists also hate capitalism, fascism and whatever the fuck the Soviets had going on.

@Drippy_Spudd

Be realistic. I’ve tried that multi-arrow thing before, it never works.

@Drippy_Spudd
Edit for clairty: This reply is about left-anticommunism.
@NoFlexZone @Drippy_Spudd i’m not sure if this is supposed to be poking fun at tankies or poking fun at anarchists

@kebokyo the three arrows isn't an anarchist symbol tho, at least not specifically

@NoFlexZone @Drippy_Spudd

@Drippy_Spudd

@kebokyo@plush.city its for folks trying to leftwash their anticommunism.

@xyhhx is correct, that's why the alt text notes the ducc is chasing a socialist.

@NoFlexZone @xyhhx

I’m not a history expert by any means, but from what I can gather online (mostly Wikipedia lol), the third arrow mainly targeted the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) that had deep ties with Stalin at the time. I reckon those that use the three arrows are trying to avoid Stalinist facist regimes and still subscribe to the ideals of a stateless, classless society

@kebokyo i think you're right

@NoFlexZone

@xyhhx @NoFlexZone ~~considering I just had another post on my timeline complaining about this exact issue I hope i’m right lmao~~
@xyhhx @NoFlexZone and gdi I wish mastodon / Toot! supported markdown, not even MFM just regular markdown (tho I don’t think strike through is a part of CommonMark…. Hm)
@kebokyo i love that i have that here :3
