So looking for different #Mastondon #Fediverse software as the dependencies for #Akkoma are #IPv4 only. Looking at #Misskey but will take a bit to determine #IPv6 only capability. Any input from the crowd here? I don't want to host the Mastodon suite.
@Tubsta I don't know if #gotosocial is far enough along for your needs.
@nivex No. I have kept my eyes on it but not good enough for a multi-user stack. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Tubsta maybe GotoSocial? Does Codeberg have v6? (probably)

Mind that a different instance needs a different hostname because its crypto keys will differ. Donโ€™t redeploy on the same domain, I now cannot communicate with a mutual any more because they did that.

@mirabilos Yeah, this is for a different instance that is IPv6 only but has access to v4 through NAT64/DNS64. Software just needs to be #IPv6 aware.
@Tubsta my GotoSocial happily federates with my ipv6.camp (real v6-only no NAT) backup account
@Tubsta

My #gotosocial works on both #IPv4 and #IPv6. I also host just using #SQLite on a small 1G memory Droplet at #DigitalOcean. I previously hosted at home on a Raspberry Pi, but I moved and no longer have a 1G link to the internet at home.

Another alternative (no personal experience) is #snac2.
@bryan Thanks. Input is much appreciated. I need something that I can moderate users with, so snac2 is out. Gotosocial still needs a bit of work.
@Tubsta
I only moderate myself soโ€ฆ ๐Ÿฅณ
@bryan @Tubsta I have an IPv6 only #snac2 instance and it works fine on my end (runs on an OpenBSD VM)
@vinishor @Tubsta
Doesnโ€™t that cut out much of the ActivityPub community? ๐Ÿค”
@bryan @Tubsta A little bit, but it's not a big issue in my case. I also set up a DNS64 on this node for IPv4-only instances, even if I have some strange errors from time to time
@vinishor @bryan Yeah NAT64/DNS64 solves this issue. So well in fact, this same host works perfectly fine with GitHub and we all know that does not serve #IPv6 at all.
