Today, I am going to be removing a favorite user feature: picking your own font for the Xogot text editor and La Terminal as now you need Apple's approval to use third party fonts installed in the system.

But at least my users will be safe from picking a font in bad taste.

@Migueldeicaza …ngl, kinda wanting to preserve an IPA or something now
I love how this boost gives @Migueldeicaza a big red nose. Good job @miah
@Migueldeicaza did something change around com.apple.developer.user-fonts recently?
@fay59 Yes, you now need to ask for permission:
@Migueldeicaza @fay59 but isn’t this change from 2020? Do they no longer grant the entitlement?
@palmin @fay59 The AppStore validation seems to trip if you have the original (and self-service) entitlement com.apple.developer.user-fonts - now you need to request the Font Enumeration or Xcode Cloud aborts. Have not bothered to build locally and upload a build to see if it passes mustard.
@Migueldeicaza
All my builds are local, I did not see anything special in recent uploads.
@palmin @fay59

@nholzschuch @palmin @fay59 In an act of desperation, I set Xcode cloud to 26.1, and the build passed.

That said, the new entitlement has shown up in Xcode as active - although I do not have any emails from Apple about it.
