@Mastodon Nonsense! There certainly are ads. Lots of them, all kinds of. But you can’t pay to force your ads on anybody who does not want to see them.

Exactly, Ads are not bad per se. They are ok, as far as they are not forced on users.

@elCelio @fubaroque @Mastodon Indeed. We need language to distinguish “ad” from “content forced into stream” but I have not thought of a concise way to describe the latter.
