@theicarian FDR moved the US towards a Scandinavian style Social Democracy during his multiple terms in office. The Cold War and JFK assassination changed the trajectory. Maybe rather than immigration from these countries -- we could elect candidates that support the ideas that make those countries rank consistently high in happiness ratings. Democracy is messy. i'm not giving up on my country just because of a Nixon or a Clinton or a Trump. #democracy #freedom
