I wonder if anyone has made a "burner phone fixtures" toolkit that populates a burner phone with plausible looking but innocuous photos, contacts, calendar events, email accounts, etc to make a burner look legit?

Would be handy for people to can't avoid travelling to fascist states like the US or when engaging actually-legitimate-but-now-criminalised activities like protests in borderline fascist states like Australia.

@mjog Why worry about making a burner phone appear legit?

If you are stopped and the authorities demand to see your phone, ok?

If they question you why there's nothing on your phone just tell them it's a burner phone for precisely this scenario because you didn't want to be stopped while you were minding your own business while a couple of assholes thought it would be fun to harass innocent people on the street.
@mike that's nice except for the numerous documented cases of people attempting to enter the US where at best they were just refused entry, or at worst were disappeared, for doing same.
@mjog Where are the news stories of people being DISAPPEARED with a burner phone at an airport? Because 99.99999% of all international visitors to the US come to us by air, not land or sea.

It's not that I don't believe you. But you've made a pretty bold claim. I'd like to see your evidence to back that up. Because I watch the news, I read the papers, and nobody no where is talking about that.
@mike Feel free to search it up!
@mjog I appreciate that, but I wasn't the one making the bold claim and accusation. Even before Trump I always carry burner devices every time I cross country borders. I work with a lot of consultants and lawyers that do the exact same thing. There's no privacy at any country's border so burner phones have steadily been increasing in popularity for at least the past 15 years.
@mike Sorry, I'm not sure what your point is, but in any case I'm not interested in discussing this further. Have a good one!
