This drives me crazy and it's still happening in iOS 26.2. How does the button register the click/tap and bounce around and whatnot while NOT triggering the button's action?! I have to move slightly closer to center to get it to actually work.

(edit: This sim instance is iOS 26.1 actually so maybe it's fixed in 26.2? I dunno but I sorta doubt it. Still gonna complain about it.)

@bigzaphod I hate I’m saying this but I believe this is effectively intentional. Sidebars also respond to taps like this, with a bounce and glow, even if you’re nowhere near a button. You’re tapping on the Liquid Glass area, not the button, and there’s no way to see the boundary. That aspect of the problem isn’t entirely new, but now that the surrounding surface reacts to touches, it *feels* significantly worse.
@robotspacer @bigzaphod yes, it’s the same 'reason' that a disabled button still does the bouncy glass thing. One of their worse decisions IMO.
