TFW you have the day off and find yourself searching for the longest possible day trip you could take on #MBTA #CommuterRail because you'd really just like to curl up somewhere warm and white noise-y and stare out the window and disassociate.

The T scheduling thingy also has a helpful icon that tells you which trains typically don't have many people on them which I *really* appreciate 🤩
@andthisismrspeacock That's nice, but, I'd appreciate, even more, busses that arrive and depart on time, especially on a frigid night! Drivers on the 71 take the schedule with a grain of salt or something lighter. At 11 PM, on a Monday, they cannot blame construction, detours, or traffic!
@wx1g I know!!! All the 70-something routes have been chronically late or absent whenever I've had to take them. And it didn't get better when they tore down the wires and replaced the electric buses with diesel ones even though they promised it would.
@wx1g Also, Boston #MBTA ripping out the electric bus system in the 2020s, read the fucking room 🙄
@andthisismrspeacock They should have electrified more routes.
@wx1g Agreed, we miraculously still had electric buses, I think San Francisco was the only other place that kept them, and now that it's important the T decides maintaining the wires isn't worth it. Sadly exactly what I expect of the T.
@andthisismrspeacock I hear, starting Sunday, the 71 will run every 15 min on Sundays. Forgive my doubt.
@wx1g They are trying to make the bus map more logical, my work does have better service than it did before, but ripping out the electrification is just such a stupid move.
