Philosophy is a great way to figure out why you're unhappy, but a terrible way to fix it
My father in law was a physicist - he always points out he was a practical physicist as opposed to a theoretical physicist. He reckons the former are always happier than the latter…probably because they get to use their hands in the lab.
We need theoretical and practical philosophers. What would a philosophy practitioner look like? How could they get their hands dirty?
@Daojoan Philosophy won't fix your unhappiness for the same reason a mirror won't fix your face.
