If I had the attention span to write fiction longer than a page I'd write a near-future story where for RFK reasons it has become easier to get illegal recreational meth than ADHD drugs so the coop in Portland that makes the black market estrogen has a side gig buying street meth and converting it backward into Adderall

@mcc I hear that "meth" has changed a lot over the past few years. Originally, it was just bad for your health but perked you up and made you sociable. Now, whatever's being passed off by that name is causing lethargy instead.

Not gonna lie, I've had enough trouble getting adderall that I've thought about going for street drugs instead. But I have little enough trust that I verify the pills I get whenever they change appearances. Also, having ADHD, I was never able to do the work to track down a source...

@neia it seems like for therapeutic use you'll want very precise dosing which is probably not what street dealers are going for.

@mcc Reasonably precise, yeah.

Method of delivery is another big difference between street meth and Desoxyn. Snorting, smoking, and injecting gives you a strong, fast high. Taking a pill gives you a much more significant delay and a longer delivery with a lower peak. That means the pill form is a lot less habit-forming.
