If I had the attention span to write fiction longer than a page I'd write a near-future story where for RFK reasons it has become easier to get illegal recreational meth than ADHD drugs so the coop in Portland that makes the black market estrogen has a side gig buying street meth and converting it backward into Adderall

@[email protected] There was a chemistry paper published a few years ago, where they noted that pseudoephedrine was hard to get hold of, but there was a precursor readily available, and they'd got a good reaction pathway to make pseudoephedrine from crystal meth.

... although I thought the one I saw was longer, and not in AIR. (I might have been wrong about that, though).
