It’s full of broken or unimplemented things, but I really like tapping out pixels on the go. It feels more productive than filling my random moments with doomscrolling.

If you try it, make sure to screenshot or save your work. It’s not saving between sessions yet.

Planned features for https://offthebooks.games/crispnes:

- configurable palettes
- configurable sprite size
- multiple sprites/animations
- multilevel undo/redo
- save progress with web storage
- project format for backup
- multiple export options
- progressive web app offline support
- phone and tablet w/ stylus support

There’s a lot to undertake here, and it could take years to check most of these boxes in my spare time. I wanted to start getting builds out as I’m already having fun with it.

Crispnes

Palette-Based Pixel Art and Animation Editor

Revisiting my #Crispnes “todos” from 46 days ago, I've finished:

- configurable sprite size
- multiple sprites/animations
- multilevel undo/redo
- save progress with web storage
- progressive web app offline support
- phone and tablet w/ stylus support

And these that weren't on the list:
- animation support and preview
- simplified toolbar UI
- frame tools/UI
- sprite sheet single animation export
- improved desktop support for modal views

That leaves these that were on the original list remaining:

- configurable palettes
- project format for backup
- multiple export options

They’re each a bit more involved, but I think they’re all still important for getting a better workflow for what I'm trying to do with #Crispnes.
