The #SurfacePsycho add-on for #Blender can now import #NURBS files as actual NURBS #surfaces, not meshes. It's the biggest leap forward #b3d has seen in years when it comes to Nurbs, and it's awesome to finally be able to bring in #IGES or #STEP surfaces. It works on Linux, Windows, and macOS too, a huge step for the Blender community! #CAD
@pafurijaz Crazy!
@petrikas Yeah, it's seriously impressive! Now I've got to figure out how to use i, it's not really like the other software out there.
@pafurijaz though I don't think blender has the proper tool to manipulate nurbs surfaces in any meaningful way arm 😅
@chengdulittlea You're absolutely right, just being able to import NURBS files is already a huge step forward. Romain Guimbal came up with a really clever solution, and hopefully someone will finally decide to push things further in the NURBS area for Blender!
@pafurijaz meanwhile I'm still thinking about the trimmable subdiv cad thing 🤣
@chengdulittlea That would be another huge revolution too, not just for Blender, but for the whole world! I hope we see something along those lines, but honestly, what I'd really love is a CAD app made by you... 😅
@pafurijaz if I really made that happen one day it's probably gonna be a paid software (with a free version that comes with a bit limitation 😅)

@pafurijaz

Is that a TVR?

No, it's not.

It's a Ferrari 250 GTO.

@pafurijaz I would actually be able to afford a TVR. But not the Ferrari.
@LovingFalloutLondon1954 you're not the only one. GTO is a rare model, also one of the most expansive. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a45835118/1962-ferrari-250-gto-auction-record-price/
@pafurijaz Hmmm. I wonder how many batteries you could squeeze into an electric conversion of a 1970s TVR?
