After months of not going anywhere with my housing company, plus setting aside money painfully, it seems things are getting unstuck. It's not official yet, but I might be able to hire someone to secure my balcony soon-ish ! And that means : adopting a kitten is on the horizon.

Right now it's very important that I show a professional will do it, and it will be secure for people under me (I'm on the last floor), and that there are guarantees about the work not damaging the balcony. But it's the first time in months I finally get told things like that. Before it was "we'll call you back" (they didn't call back), "we've never had the question" (I'm asking the question), "we need to ask our manager" (didn't you do that the first ten times ?).

@ladyteruki yeah, my sister lives in an HLM, and I know slow things can be.

@jenesuispasgoth : it doesn't help that the building manager never returns my calls, but we're supposed to go through her for everything, so the admin at HQ redirected me to her for a long time, which really added months to the whole ordeal.
