Starting with Balozi and White Cap during my recent trip to Nairobi. Both are lagers. I am not a beer connoisseur, but anything that can compete with San Miguel Pale Pilsen is a good beer.
Hindi masarap itong Castle Lite. Puro bula lang. Para siyang San Mig Light. #fedibeers #beersofmastodon
If I can haul more than 2 liters of wine, I would. Was able to bring home 2 bottles, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Pinotage. Swabe ang South African wines. And they were relatively affordable.
Aha! Hindi mo rin pala gusto ang SanMig Light. 
Naalala ko yung isang kainuman ko minsan, who insisted on having it. Tanong ko, "what do you like about that beer?"
Apparently there are folks out there who think it has less alcohol, and claim that they don't get drunk quickly compared with other beer.
I pointed out the alcohol content printed on the bottle, and compared it with what I was having. Fun times.

I don't remember trying this brand, but then again, I'm not fond of beer with high alcohol content.
For a while, I did learn to like Red Horse (and learn all the myths about the laughing horse logo!), while I was working in a farm for a couple of years. The "biggest" sari-sari store will only stock-up on Pilsen on weekends, and will only have Red Horse for the rest of the week, or the local moonshine, Tuba.
And going "downtown" on a weekday for me, means a treat of ice-cold Pilsen.

Ako, serbesa at vino ang madalas kong inumin, hindi talaga ako tumatagal sa mga hard drinks.
Pero laging may bote ng Shochu, para sa mga bisitang hard ang gusto, at minsan isang shot, para mabilis dalawin ng antok, kung 'di ko kayang tapusin ang bote ng serbesa.

Dahil tanders na tayo, beer na lang talaga kung may craft beer, game tayo! Or wine na lang. If I want to splurge, cocktails (but nothing with soda/bubbles)!!!
Was never a fan of sake, shochu or soju. Takot ako sa mga walang kulay eh. Hahaha.
Nung bata bata pa ko at wala masyadong pera, sinubukan rin pala namin ang vino kulafu, shoktong with Lipton ice tea. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Noong nasa pangatlong taon ako ng high school, niyaya ako ng pinsan kong nag-aaral sa UPLB na dumalo sa open house ng kolehiyo nila, para engganyuhing doon mag-apply.
Kinagabihan, bumuhos ang alak. Lambanog, na may lasang bubble gum.
Kinaumagahan hindi ko alam kung saang dormitoryo ako magising, at paanong nakarating doon.
That was the first and only time I blacked out from drinking. I never touched Lambanog since then. 😅
Hindi din ako nag UPLB. 😆
