"Imagine paying upwards of $8,000 for peace of mind during a grid outage, only to find out Tesla remotely drained your backup battery to 0% because it might otherwise catch fire."

I would not even buy a pencil from Tesla at this point.

@stfn Ostatnio zamówiłem taksę, przyjechała Tesla. Nie wiedziałem, jak drzwi otworzyć z zewnątrz, a co gorsza później też od środka xd
@stfn Don't know anyone who paid anything as low as $8000 for Tesla.
@Armadillosoft @stfn Tesla Wall Batteries. For homes. Not a Tesla car.

@Karstan @stfn

The Tesla systems that hook to solar panels and the grid cost a lot more than $8000. Not as much as a Tesla car, but almost.

Where I live, we often lose power for a week or two. Apparently, if one uses up all the charge of a Tesla battery array, the system hangs and you have to do a hard reboot.

@stfn I dunno, exploding, flammable pencils that randomly stop writing when you need them most sound like the perfect gift for your best enemy.
@stfn Our solar installer tried to sell us one. I said absolutely not. Never. Nope. Good call, apparently.
@TheJen sounds like something the CIA tried to use to assassinate Fidel Castro

@stfn

That's how #elon rolls...😡

@stfn one of the reasons why I decided to delay getting a battery for my solar system is because the installer only offered Tesla as an option.
@stfn @JdeB Tesla. What a nightmare.
@stfn Not even a Full Self Writing pencil?
@oclsc it would be advertised as "full self writing soon" for five years and then it would be quietly dropped from the marketing materials
