This has been a great year for the #godotengine, but there are still a lot of things we would love to do.
If each person visiting our website donated €5, we could hire 5 more developers to work on Godot full-time.

Poolitzer@godotengine Your websites don't mention it, is a donation towards you tax deductible (in Germany if that matters)?
@poolitzer @godotengine not an expert in German tax Law... But I'm almost sure for that the Godot foundation would need to be officially recognized as non-profit by German tax office... And that sounds unlikely.

As far as I know, you can in theory deduct donations to any non profit within the EU as long as they would be considered "gemeinnützig" according to German law. The second part is usually the tricky one. For Godot you can find a very brief mission statement in the key policies: https://godot.foundation/policies-and-procedures/key-policies
I kinda doubt this would count as "gemeinnützig", but honestly I would just ask the tax office.
