I enjoy reading OSR books and adventures, but I find it's not the style of gameplay that interests me; I tend to think of puzzles, combat, etc., as prone to becoming distractions from the narrative. I tend to skim through action scenes in fiction that drag on too long.

I see less advice on how to approach narrative and storytelling games, however, and what there is seems to focus on how to bring in more "crunch", which isn't what I want to do.
