Toasters be all like, "Surprise! It's toast!"

Every goddamn time.

When they invented the electric toaster, they said, "hey instead of a wind-up jack-in-the-box, let's have it dispense twice-cooked bread."

and isn't it a delight! what a joy to be eternally surprised by warm toast.

Nah, my toaster doesn’t play by the rules. It often surprises me with bread on one side and char on the other.

But, you’ll never know which side is going to be which.
