Finished episode three of #kdrama #TaxiDriver3 last night. Two thoughts: 1) Yoon Si Yoon is doing scary and sinister really well lately; 2) Lee Je Hoon's disguise--and his rescue of a victim--made me cry in the good way 😂
@dnkboston
I love #LeeJeHoon, but I got most of the way through S1 of this show and then couldn't get any farther. So much gratuitous violence in a lot of #kdrama.
@EllenInEdmonton Understood. And it's not just violence, it's in the context of disturbing situations.
@dnkboston
Exactly! Disney+ is especially bad about stocking its catalogue with shows full of violence and revenge. I had to stop The Manipulated, with favourite actors #JiChangWook and #DohKyungsoo, because of the sheer evil it portrayed.
I adore #LeeJeHoon, but not enough to watch him continually seeking revenge. I hope that there really will be a sequel to #TheArtOfNegotiation
@EllenInEdmonton I loathe Disney+ The writing overall is just so bad. It's all production values with shallow premises
@dnkboston
Yes, for the most part. I did enjoy the historical Bloody Heart, but in general, their shows are disappointing. I have free access, so I investigate from time to time.
@EllenInEdmonton oh...That I might want to see
@dnkboston
Recommended! It ended a bit abruptly, but the interlinked stories were interesting.
@EllenInEdmonton but does Jang Hyuk growl? That's what's really important.

@dnkboston
But of course he does!! He also does several of the fan flicks that he did to perfection in My Country: The New Age.

I tried to find the original video montage I watched with #JangHyuk in this show, and there were so many, I couldn't pick! I may have to rewatch, when I finish #SixFlyingDragons.

@EllenInEdmonton I'm so there, lol. When I first saw him in My Country, I was like, how come I can't do that?!
@dnkboston
Haha, he makes a truly magnificent warrior! Delightful to watch. And I enjoyed #WokOfLove, as a campy romance where he is a chef. He's just fun to watch, regardless of the role that he's playing.

#JangHyuk
@EllenInEdmonton @dnkboston HERE FOR THE JANG HYUK LOVE!
@jcurries @EllenInEdmonton @dnkboston Me, too! #JangHyuk appreciation. ❤️

@dnkboston @Fanua @jcurries
Is this coming in the future? No other info. Warrior #JangHyuk is the best Jang Hyuk, IMHO.
@EllenInEdmonton Yes, next year. And I actually liked him in Tell Me What You Saw (he was a cop!) @Fanua @jcurries

@dnkboston Yes, I already have Great King Munmu on my PTW when it comes out next year. Looking forward to this saguek. #kDrama #JangHyuk

@jcurries @EllenInEdmonton

@Fanua now we just have to wait for more info on Lee Joon Gi's latest. So far, it looks like a hoot.

@Fanua Yes! Looks like it will be quite a ride @jcurries @EllenInEdmonton

@dnkboston Jang Hyuk with a sword is all I need. 😉

@jcurries @EllenInEdmonton

@Fanua 🤣 My favorite are the slaphands. Why can't I do that?!

@jcurries @EllenInEdmonton

@dnkboston @Fanua @jcurries
I need a video to understand what you mean by slaphands! I love the way that he flicks a fan open, shoots an arrow, wields a sword, or glowers at an underling! Bloody Heart is a good one for watching in the meantime, except for Deb, who won't watch D+.

@Fanua Ooooh I don’t usually pay attention to what’s coming, but I’m really looking forward to Great King Munmu now!Pre-Joseon + Jang Hyuk? I’m so there!

@dnkboston @EllenInEdmonton

@EllenInEdmonton You know I watched that just for him! And my husband and I were like, why is the FL going for the other guy?!
@dnkboston @EllenInEdmonton I guess I'll have to watch #WokOfLove someday. #JangHyuk

@Fanua It's cute, so he leans into goofball

@EllenInEdmonton

@EllenInEdmonton @dnkboston I haven’t seen one single bad role from him. He excels at everything—action, comedy, drama, you name it, he can do it!

@dnkboston OH

OH

I didn’t know he was in this! I know what I’ll be watching next!

But if you enjoy scary Yoon Shi-yoon, you *have* to watch Nokdu Flower! Going from sweet mama’s flower boy to murderous using just a single look. It’s just glorious! IMO it’s by far his best role and the fact he didn’t win anything for it is an utter travesty.

@bougiewonderland I hadn't even given that a look, but if it's on viki, I'll add it to my list. Thank you!
@dnkboston it’s fanTAStic. Not a light watch, but tries to be true to a hard slice of history. There’s a gazillion of awesome top actors in it, including Jo Jung-suk in a rare dramatic role.
