I've had to learn the hard way that the long series that people rave about are generally loved mainly by folks who love long series. I'm not that person. However, there are a few that I felt were worth the time commitment.

Blazing through, indeed !
Started with #SixFlyingDragons now.
Nice for the balance, but having to learn a lot of names and situations !
My hour-to-watch is at the end of rather active days this month.
My mind is not fully open anymore for all that :)
I've fallen behind on the end-of-year #kdrama challenge, but I haven't stopped watching. I finished several recent shows: The Dream Life of Mr. Kim, Typhoon Family, Dear X, and Spirit Fingers. Only one more week of #DynamiteKiss, my current favourite.
The big k-drama news for me is that I completed the 50-episode sageuk: #SixFlyingDragons. It was fabulous, and helped to keep fleshing out the fascinating story of #YiBangWon, King Taejo, a driving force behind the establishment of the Joseon era of Korean history.
Next plan is to try out Kocowa, in order to start or finish several shows during this dark, quiet, and snowy time of the year.

I think that it's right up your alley, except that the primary lead is not female.
I've completed 80% of the show now.

Thanks! I'm watching #SixFlyingDragons , which is very dialogue-dense, so it helps to have something lighter to intersperse it with. Most of my currently airing dramas are now complete.

This was an excellent show for all sorts of education about Korea's history. Currently watching #SixFlyingDragons, which is considered a "prequel". I'm getting less of a sense of the history of that era than I did from several others, but the characters are fascinating.
@drnya91 Kill Me, Heal Me has been on my list. I may need to move it up to sandwich with #SixFlyingDragons, which is pretty intense.

@JillsJoy
It's a really popular one, with folks who like the OTT approach. I watched and enjoyed several episodes, but it got swept aside by multiple new dramas, and the 50-episode #SixFlyingDragons

I love this dork in #SixFlyingDragons #Kdrama Might need to rewatch Rebel when I’m finished.
