My Greatest Hits copy of #FinalFantasyIX isn't compatible with most of the hacks, it's 1.0 and some of them are for 1.1. Time to wait for downloads...

If I can get these ROM hacks working, Comprehensive ATB Enhancement looks like the most important. Fortunately, that one can be applied to either 1.0 or 1.1 USA copies.

But I want Steiner to be useful so I think I need to go with 1.1. Thunder Slash was mistakenly made a gravity attack, so that's gotta be fixed.

And the other two patches I'm considering wouldn't be noticeable if they work or not until the endgame. The patches are only for the 4th disc. One of them doesn't specify which version it's for... I wonder if I could swap between 1.0 and 1.1 discs.

Just found a new hack for #FinalFantasyIX released 2 days ago. This one lets you press R2 in order to activate Trance, instead of it activating as soon as the gauge fills. And there was a comment yesterday which says it works with the Comprehensive ATB Enhancement. As soon as I finish with Parasite Eve, I'll be playing FF9.
