some of these wander a bit away from the tech/finance/labor/work topics but all of them at least leave a few footprints there:

I reported to Alana for about a year at Google, she's the Real Deal ™
@phire My
friend @eevis is starting Inclusive Android Apps newsletter: https://eevis.codes/newsletter/
and Linda is writing her Hello Ruby newsletter at https://helloruby.substack.com/
I also +1 for @j2kun 's earlier recommendation for Molly White's newsletter.
Another one I really like is @cassidoo 's weekly tech newsletter at https://buttondown.com/cassidoo
and bit less techy but fantastic Things learned while looking up things by Erin https://buttondown.com/thingslearned/
@phire A few off the top of my head:

There are probably more I can dig up from my RSS reader, but those are a good start.
oh yeah I also have a slightly broader set of links in the ‘Online reading’ section of https://improvesomething.today/recommended/
An advantage of that page is that everything recommended on there is great IMO. Disadvantage relative to your query is that some (but not most) of it is written by dudes.
@phire Bronwen Clune covers Australian startups and tech here: https://www.capitalbrief.com/newsletters/sweat-equity/
Paulina Durán and Paige McNamee write our AM wrap up here: https://www.capitalbrief.com/newsletters/standup/
And Harshdeep Kaur hosts On The Call each week here: https://www.capitalbrief.com/on-the-call/ (that one is subscriber only though!)
(disclaimer: i work there!)

The newsletter of Deb Chachra's work and ideas. Musings on infrastructure, technology, culture, design, education, and more. Low volume, no spam, no tracking, unsubscribe whenever. Want a taste of what to expect? The newsletter archive is in transition, but you can read essays about infrastructure or materials (featuring bees!), a long excerpt from my book How Infrastructure Works, an editorial about (not) being a ‘maker’, or some short, enthusiastic pieces, mostly about pop culture.
@deborahh @phire @RuthMalan I sure do! Thank you for thinking of me 🥰
@phire hear, hear 🔥
Today i was compelled to write something about kindness (and lack of it) in Vancouver events I’ve experienced. Hoping to start loval conversations and improving action on themes i reflect on because we want a more inclusive and kind space here. Thanks 🙏
The #1 thing missing from most tech events is plain old kindness. 🚩 You know the scene: you're chatting with people, and suddenly someone starts talking smack about another person's work or ideas. WTAF?! It's a common, crummy habit to bond by making someone else feel small. But let's be super clear: it's never okay to badmouth others at tech events. Think about the difference between force and power. Force pushes people away; true power draws them in. When you gossip, you use force, and honestly, it makes you look bad. 🧡 True power comes from being kind, honest, and lifting others up. It's positive and strong. Next time a negative convo starts, just change the subject. Instead of focusing on what's wrong, ask a better question: "How can we make that idea better?" or "What good could come from this?" I genuinely believe we can make our tech world a kinder, better place. What do you do when people start gossiping? Let's make kindness our best technology. #Nefertina #KhepreshQueen
@phire https://buttondown.com/metafoundry by @debcha, who wrote _How Infrastructure Works_, is kicking off again so definite add to your RSS feeds.

@phire I'll echo others suggesting Mandy Brown, Erin Kissane, Iris Meredith, Cat Hicks, and Molly White.
