Pedo in a meadow flows better in American English where they say ped-oh. The British version doesn’t flow as well in this example but is generally superior for shouting at someone. For example, if Trump had been allowed to see the public when visiting the UK you would hear “Fucking peee-doooh!”
The nuances of American/British/Aussie/Canadian English are lost to me, but thanks for the explanation.

While living in victories bc the girls at the restaurant I worked with wanted to go out drinking and I said sure. They wanted to go to the local gay bar. Not my thing but fuck it I’m not prejudiced.
Well anyway, I’m talking to the owner who is very respectful of my heterosexuality (some of the other patrons were less so) and he mentioned “the stump” which is an important part of Victoria gay history.
“What is the stump”? I ask naively, unprepared for the answer.
He explains to me that there is a clearing in a trees area of beacon hill park, and in the middle of that clearing is a stump. For many years the local tradition was that you would go to the stump after nightfall, remove your pants, and kneel over it as if awaiting a behading. One of the gay men watching from the wooded area would emerge, and would fuck you in the ass on this stump. And that this is a gay tradition stretching back decades.
Some weeks later while leaving Victoria’s charming petting zoo with my then girlfriend I inadvertently came across the stump, and nearly died laughing as I explained why I was laughing to her shock and horror.
