Edward Champion2023's THE FLASH honored the aborted Kevin Smith project SUPERMAN LIVES by featuring Nicolas Cage fighting a giant spider. Cage was asked about this in an interview and said that you could look to his performance in CITY OF ANGELS to get an idea for how he would play Clark Kent. And this library scene offers a fascinating view into what might have been. I think Cage MIGHT have been as great as Christopher Reeve.
