Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I find it weird that they user an angry, pink rainbow unicorn to show the user something bad happened on GitHub.
To me, this seems like a subtle attempt to use gay/trans iconography to consulate those groups of people with bad, angry things happening to the user.
This is GitHub. Why not use an image of Octocat?
