My Raspberry Pi 4 refuses to boot from a WD Red SN700 SSD. It works with the same NVMe-to-USB adapter and another SSD. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong? An AI suggested it could be a timeout in the bootloader, but I don’t know how to change that.

@konreifen it looks like the WD SSD's are a bit tempremental with the Pi5 with the Pimoroni Nvme base, so it may be related. See the compatability list for "Maybe List" that list the SN700 and "Avoid List" for other models at the bottom of the listing. Sorry can't help beyond this. https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/nvme-base?variant=41219587178579
NVMe Base for Raspberry Pi 5

@raspberryconnect Thanks for the reply. That looks like a weird problem. I guess I will avoid those Western Digital drives for future pi projects, just to be sure.
