@georgetakei Honestly I'm happy they finally killed off the penny. Long overdue. Should do the same with the nickel.

The US eliminated the half-penny in 1857, at which time it was worth 17 cents in today's money. Pennies and nickels have too little value to be worth hanging onto. You could make a good argument for dumping the dime as well.

We do need a good, usable dollar coin. Sacagawea dollars aren't it.
