Spouse was stung by a scorpion!
(Have never ever even seen one in the wild, let alone been stung by one. It was only about an inch long, but the sting hurt a lot. He's fine this morning.)
David@anathema_device wow! We have heaps of them out here, easily found hiding under rocks / bricks / pieces of wood. I've never been stung by one though. (Australian Scorpions are mostly harmless, which at least is something)

I just have never seen one (and still haven't since spouse removed it toot sweet before I saw it). I don't make a habit of looking under rocks and such, because of my childhood training to avoid such places because of red-backs and similar
