Comes in different water colors at different times at the virtual day.
I love this so much, my own design in game, I gave in to share here!
I will alt text, which is super hard for me with a social interaction deficit... But this is important enough.
p.s. I believe Alt Text should be mandatory.
It isnt easy for everyone.
I've built swimming pools in both Ark and Empyrion. The earliest attempt in the latter was a PITA because I had to exploit existing water and build in/around it. I dare say the result was impressive. I have screenshots of that at least. Nowaways in Empyrion there are "water blocks" that can be placed like any other. Their mimcry isn't perfect, but it's close enough for most things AND they can be placed in and merge with low spots in terrain to create natural-looking ponds and puddles.
I also had an aquarium briefly in Ark.
When I last played there was a water gun mod for Ark that could eject water into both snapped containers and low terrain. I used that. I don't know if it exists, and I see that you're not playing the original game Ark:SE as I was.
Very clean Euro- or IKEA-like design, but in that I didn't have much choice, at least at the time.
Mods it is! 🙂
There were some very useful mods that added hundreds of new snappable building pieces to Ark:SE. I have no doubt that they've migrated to the new Ark game or been replaced by even better. Do I have screenshots of my Ark base? Yes... but not very many. I wasn't taking very many screenshots of the game, period.
@VulcanTourist They have been replaced by structure skins.
There is an officially approved mod (not made by Wildcard afaik) that applies water skins to foundations and ceilings, and can be used on the official servers for ASA.
It is free! Sadly most of the mods are pay to use.
Today in No Man's Sky, on the bleeding Edge of the Euclid galaxy...
I've got a surface base on an ocean planet in NMS. It took a bit of creativity to get it there, since bases can't actually float and it's not TERRAIN that the game will alow you to place on. It's static, not floating, which creates a bit of a problem because... there are MASSIVE tsunami-class waves that periodically swamp it.
So much for nice flatness?
Thankfully the watertight interior stays nice and dry.
@VulcanTourist I had a previous playthrough that ended with social disaster..
A planet of completely no hostiles, no life, mostly super flat... and prety cruystals everywhere... it was like I was living on an iridescent planet of pretty peace. I probably can find it again if I go load that old save
Gas giants aren't flat (that I've seen) and they have no life and lots of huge crystals including storm crystals, but without something like the Clement Weather mod the climate is probably pretty nasty. I've got bases on a couple of them since unlocking purple star systems.
