Comes in different water colors at different times at the virtual day.
I love this so much, my own design in game, I gave in to share here!
I will alt text, which is super hard for me with a social interaction deficit... But this is important enough.
p.s. I believe Alt Text should be mandatory.
It isnt easy for everyone.
I've built swimming pools in both Ark and Empyrion. The earliest attempt in the latter was a PITA because I had to exploit existing water and build in/around it. I dare say the result was impressive. I have screenshots of that at least. Nowaways in Empyrion there are "water blocks" that can be placed like any other. Their mimcry isn't perfect, but it's close enough for most things AND they can be placed in and merge with low spots in terrain to create natural-looking ponds and puddles.
I also had an aquarium briefly in Ark.
When I last played there was a water gun mod for Ark that could eject water into both snapped containers and low terrain. I used that. I don't know if it exists, and I see that you're not playing the original game Ark:SE as I was.
Very clean Euro- or IKEA-like design, but in that I didn't have much choice, at least at the time.
Mods it is! 🙂
There were some very useful mods that added hundreds of new snappable building pieces to Ark:SE. I have no doubt that they've migrated to the new Ark game or been replaced by even better. Do I have screenshots of my Ark base? Yes... but not very many. I wasn't taking very many screenshots of the game, period.
@VulcanTourist They have been replaced by structure skins.
There is an officially approved mod (not made by Wildcard afaik) that applies water skins to foundations and ceilings, and can be used on the official servers for ASA.
It is free! Sadly most of the mods are pay to use.
Today in No Man's Sky, on the bleeding Edge of the Euclid galaxy...
I posted this at noon, and here it is an hour later and I still haven't moved in the game, distracting myself with social media because I can't fight the battle with myself to decide whether to build there or not!
@VulcanTourist Strong relate, and me doing that, is how most of my tames and my pets and my own body;s inventory goes poof, bye bye, forever deleted by the code that punishes slow paced people, and call it a "challenge" as if challenges were some kinda wacko fun.
I hate challenges I never wanted.
Challenged to do a wall sit or staring contest, or how long we can watch paint dry, I like that, sounds fun.
then they think I am kidding about the wall dry, but I am serious. pretty color changes.
I'm still parked in that system, hours later, still trying to argue with myself whether I should build Yet Another Base Just Because I Like The Spot or move along to somewhere else that might have an even better spot....
There are hard limits to how many spots I can exploit, hard limits to how many base pieces I can build. I worry about those limits.
If I make one too many, the game won't let me keep both. The save file limits the amount of bases and base parts. One more than the limit simply can't be built. I don't think I'm close to hitting either limit YET, but reckless abandon will get me there much sooner! I've already been making quantitative choice about how I build, changing tactics to use fewer pieces.
As for teleporting... I have a teleporter in my corvette, and that opens incredible possibilities for saving time, if nothing else. Teleporter in my freighter, my corvette, all my bases.
You want wild?

An emote that lets you randomly warp up to a million light years from where you stand.
@VulcanTourist I do have a strong dislike of only colecting five dinos... I mean ships, intentionally misnamed.
I can have 250 dinos in Ark ascended. Ark evolved let me have 500.
@VulcanTourist I want more... Ark hoaring pauses my real life hoarding, which is close to dangerous levels, and already occuping too much space and I need to purge, to let go of the $350 a month storage, feels like it would kill me, not literally.
Ark puts my hoarding needs into virtual worlds... which never takes up my real life space outside of a PC and notepapers... But it does take away my stability, as it is the best and worst game I have ever played.
Love dinos, loathe crap management.
You can have nine active ships in NMS, and 18 more in "storage". But for me I don't even need that since (a) now that I have my custom-built corvette minf-freighter I will rarely use a regular ship and (b) the only real difference beteen starships is their appearance, and that can be changed on a whim by changing the seed in the Save Editor. I did that for my freighter again a few days ago, now have a "Venator" style capital freighter. I might change that to a pirate dreadnought, though.
