Hey @snarfed.org , I have a question re: #bridgy . The person who handles social media for the non-profit Balakun tried using Bridgy to make his posts at https://balakunua.bsky.social bridge to @balakunua.bsky.social . Unfortunately, the content isn't bridging. All I can think is that maybe he entered in the wrong data for the link, such as @balakun , which is basically going to be used to point to the brid.gy account once it's working.
Can you check on this?! Thanks.

I think I see why @balakunua.bsky.social has no followers on Mastodon.social. I'd tried to follow it myself, but it still shows as "Requested". (i.e., it's a bridged account with nobody directly overseeing it on a regular basis, but all new followers need to be manually and not automatically approved.)

I know this is substantially a Mastodon issue, but what's the solution? I need to tell the person who set it up to change this?

Ah. Looks like you requested to be manually opted out of the bridge back in Feb 2024, so we're dutifully ignoring your account. Sorry for any confusion. Let me know if you want me to undo that!
