@designthinkingcomic Genuine question just thrown out there, is WebP compatibility *still* an issue for most people out there as a whole or is it specific software that hasn't added support yet, e.g. big image editors or entire OSes that can't natively preview them (macOS? Windows?)?

It's been a while since I've had anything other than, like, JPGs and PNGs on either Macs or Windows machines in the little time I'm using them at work.

@snep @designthinkingcomic I have Telegram channels for some of my web sites, and WebP doesn't work there. I haven't bothered to set up convert-jpgs-to-webp-on-the-fly systems to use multiple formats, as well-compressed JPGs tend to be smaller than WebP images in any case.

MacOS has no problems working with WebP, all apps I use can handle them just fine. Telegram is the only one that I've seen where it's a problem.
